Prior Knowledge and Skills

This course is for learners who have attained a standard equivalent to high school matriculation in the language. They can handle most situations with confidence, but not with fluency.

Proficiency Level

The content of this course corresponds approximately to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Course Aim

This course aims to provide learners of Italian language and culture the opportunity to consolidate oral/written expression and oral/reading skills through engaging classroom activities conducted mostly in Italian.At the end of the course learners should be able to participate effectively in a wide range of formal and informal conversations related to the language functions required to socialise, exchange information, express feelings, opinions and attitudes and negotiate meaning.
